I'm back.... with a new book of the month!!

Hello!

I know it's been a while; I honestly didn't have a whole lot to write about so I kind of waited until I did.

Recap:
Yesterday was a big day in my personal history. March 18th is the anniversary of my father’s death. It was 17 years ago yesterday and has always been a difficult day for me.

That is   of course, until my wonderful husband decided to turn that day around and propose to me 4 years ago while we were on vacation in Ireland!
(Even if he couldn’t remember that little fact yesterday!)

Yesterday was supposed to be a HUGE day for us on the road to parenting as well. It would have been the day we would have taken an HPT to see if our cycle was successful. When I first found that out on our schedule, I was elated!
I thought for sure it was a good sign.

After we canceled the cycle though, I knew it would be a very difficult day for us emotionally, me in particular.

The day itself went by rather smoothly. As the workday ended I felt a need to just unwind and spend time with my husband. Since we have both been specific diets, we haven’t shared a meal together in what feels like ages. I made us a nice dinner and we cuddled up with a funny movie. I of course got about 30 minutes into it before the red wine kicked in and I feel asleep.

All in all, a good way to spend what I thought would be a dreadful day.
Just goes to show, that “happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, as long as one remembers to turn on the light.”

Here is the next addition of Book of the Month is here!

The book is called Baby Hunger by Beth Forbus.

We are going to be reading this in my infertility support group and so I wanted to shareit here in case anyone wanted to follow along.

I read this a few months back when trying to find suitable books to discuss at the support group. It is a very real account of a women dealing with infertility that uses reference to scripture and stories from other couples to let the reader know they are not alone. I found it very encouraging and I hope that the women in my group like it as well.

I'll keep you posted and if you have read this book or anything similar to it please leave a comment and let me know what you thought!

Upcoming:

J and I are doing the Color Me Rad 5K this weekend, and we are stoked!! (Ok I am stoked; he is just going along with it because I promised him pizza and a nap afterwards!)

I’m planning on doing a DIY Juice Cleanse after the race because I seem to be yo-yoing with my weight loss for the past few weeks and it’s driving me nuts!!!

I will definitely be documenting that on here, as a way to get through what I know will be a hard few days!

Also, I am going to be starting a DIY project for twins that I nannied over the summer, they are having their first birthday in April and I want to make them something special.

They’re parents are the first family that I really got to know, when it came to infertility. They were IVF babies as well as their older brother, and I owe a lot of my personal development on the subject to them!

Anyways, it should be a great project and a chance for me to add some fun and frill to this blog.

Check in for updates and PLEASE COMMENT!!!
(Not that I’m desperate or anything…)
